La posturothérapie : pour qui ? Pourquoi ? Comment ? - 15/03/19
Posturotherapy: For whom? Why? How?

Extra-corporeal lithotripsy and flexible ureteroscopy are the two standard treatments for kidney stones. Both therapies can leave residual, hard-to-eliminate residual glandular fragments, increasing the risk of complications and re-intervention. Currently there is no adjuvant treatment to optimize the removal of the residual fragments. Chiong et al. reported in 2005 a technique combining physiotherapy in Trendelenburg position and hyperdiuresis (posturotherapy) to supplement the standards treatments. For two years, posturotherapy has been prescribed to our patients wishing it for caliceal fragments less than 5mm.
